Giang Biscan is an intellectual property specialist at James Hardie Industries, Inc., specializing in technology evaluation for commercialization potential, technology trend identification for identifying R&D space, IP competitive scan and analysis, prior art search, patent drafting and prosecution. She has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Newcastle in Australia, with 11 journal publications, been an invited speaker at various universities and conferences, 6 pending patents in US and other countries and various international awards for technology development and commercialization.
 

She is an active business event organizer at UCLA Anderson School of Management and in the LA business community. At Anderson, she was the VP of Events for the International Business Association, an Outreach Manager of the Entrepreneurs Association, President of ProMBA.org, and Committee Chair of the Anderson Executive Career Night 2008.  She was a co-founder of Startup LA, an annual conference for start-up entrepreneurs' community in LA.
